John's Background Switcher

If you like the mix of your Windows screen, the latest version of John's Background Switcher lets you do almost any Internet source, and any specific way you want depending on the monitors.

We have taken a little love in this clever little freeware soft once or twice before, and version 4 of the John's Background Switcher (JBS) gives us even more to love. If you have a monitor, like uploading photos JBS can somehow do that, but if you have a lot of pictures that need a certain level and the need to expand, and others must Focus - The application can do that too. There is a new support for Google, Yahoo, and search results to images of Bing, the bottom of the transitions in Vista and Windows 7, and a page setup dialog for creating unified and allow images to your pool and preferences.

There are also new "cork board" and "postal" viewpoints to create desktop collages of multiple photos. Best of all, for those concerned about resources, JBS can be adjusted to change the image of the office every Windows startup, and then disappear if you do not plan to change more than once per session.

John's Background Switcher is a free download for Windows systems, requires Microsoft. NET Framework 2.0 or higher to work.

SetPower

Windows comes with several power options, solid management, but misses the mark on one point: most of us have different energy saving schemes at different times of day. SetPower automatically adjust power management settings in a user-defined schedule.

Once you've downloaded and installed SetPower, only fire and start planning options for power management based on time of day. Because the type of cheese infomercial video above highlights SetPower is perfect to give you the performance you want, when you need, without wasting energy when you do not need the extra performance potential of saving you some decent money on your electricity bill.

If you're in bed after midnight during the week, for example, has a large supply current to ensure that you are sleeping or hibernating soon. If you spend an hour or two on the team in the morning before leaving for work, adjust the power management settings for a yield a little more about saving energy. If you're working 9 to 5, re-call another energy-saving quick setting Hibernate. (You get the picture).

Monopoly

Monopoly is a classic board game sold a lot expensive copies around the city with special editions of its game board licensed, and there are several electronic and online play, but nothing comparable in the street Monopoly City . The streets of the city, Parker Brothers have used Google Maps to create a game live World Monopoly with real cities that gameboard Yes, that means you can have (almost) the whole street in the world.

The possibilities of construction is reinforced with castles and skyscrapers. Chance cards have also changed somewhat: now are used to construct the risks of ownership of their competitors. To counter the risks, you should get a shovel on the map. With all this construction and demolition Monopoly City Streets sounds more like a hybrid of Monopoly and Sim City back straight, a gaming monopoly. Perhaps, as the website today, it will be epic fun. If nothing else, this is an era of Google may be pleased to hear his name in the same sentence as "monopoly".

Office 2010 Beta

Working in Microsoft Office 2010, the next version of Office is being formed very well. Some screenshots and more information on the application suite of productivity has begun to seep into the wild.

As an employee of Microsoft Office, "Mondo", the name is used for testing and did not include UGS Partner.

idthis Overview

Sometimes you find something and not know exactly what it is. And if you could take a photo on your iPhone, upload to a site where people can submit responses and voting on the best, and send a link to all your contacts on Twitter to get them to pose? That essentially describes a simple idthis site developed by Billy Chasen, who has created chartbeat (discussed here) and betaworks firef.ly.

With idthis, a website and the iPhone (iTunes link), the concept is fairly simple, but I see that go in different directions. One is a simple utility. You see an old BMW convertible on the street and want to know what year it is. Share with idthis. It could also be a way to play video games. Take a look at an object or do a bit vague and see who can guess what comes first.

Chrome Update for new Mac OS

Things begin to occupy ourselves in the world of chrome. Yesterday we saw the latest Chrome developer is now based Snow Leopard-ready. Today brings some interesting news.

It seems that Chrome is about to acquire a new feature called integrated desktop alerts. A paper was recently posted on the site design documents are developers of chromium. Basically, it seems that there is an API that allows a developer to display messages from small desktop area of a user. I guess this will be something like FriendFeed notifications, but runs on Adobe AIR, it runs entirely in WebKit.

It is interesting to integration, documentation notes for users of Mac OS, there will be those with Growl notifications. He says: "In Mac OS, notifications on the desktop icon, title, text formatting will be sent to growl to show if installed Growl." On Linux, the notifications will be sent via dbus, apparently.

These notifications must be disabled by default for now, but can be activated through a command line switch. It is difficult to know exactly how they will be used only to read about them in these documents but this could be a feature of New Cool sites can potentially use - or pop-up ads 2.0.
